In case you hadn't noticed, the only way you're going to escape local Austin bands over the weekend is to hide in a dark movie theater or a try to get lost in a panel room full of people that are pissed their Twitter account hasn't made them enough money to retire yet. Even there, they are watching, waiting. And that's not a bad thing

The Austinist's Local Music Is Sexy showcase in a not quite so local venue, the PureVolume House. Lineup includes Ringo Deathstarr, Shapes Have Fangs, and Beautiful Supermachines.
